How do you feel about endings?

Some people cringe at the thought of a relationship, job, or phase in life coming to a close. It’s a natural part of life though. The key is to understand when to end things intentionally or keep working on them.

Ecclesiastes 3 was written by the richest man to ever live, King Solomon. This book is about the ebb and flow of everything. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…” (3:1).

He mentions a time to be born and a time to die, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, and more.

Endings are necessary for beginnings. Even if something ends in failure, this too is part of life. Every successful person will tell you that they have failed many times. The only thing that makes failure permanent is if you don’t get back up and try something new or the task again.

Don’t be afraid of endings. Work on assessing situations to determine when something needs to end or continue.
