A million things seek to enslave you – people, habits, philosophies, bad laws – It does not take a literal prison or chains.

Freedom begins in our mind with the choices we make.

Get ahold of the truth about your right to freedom paid for by the life of Christ. It is not found in rejecting rules and the boundaries of society or in having no responsibility for yourself or others. Neither will you find it when you let your emotions run wild or another person dictate how you should feel and what you must say.

Americans received a greater level of political and economic freedom after the Revolution, beginning in 1776. Never in human history had a people enjoyed a government designed to protect their God-given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Protections that allow you to come and go as you please, pursue a career, or any passion openly is just the beginning stage. The deepest, most meaningful freedom defies status, political boundaries, geography, color, age, anything.

The promise of Christ is that freedom from the sin nature, shared by every human, has already been bought and paid for, if you will receive it.

Paul’s words in Galatians 5:1 jump off the page like a command: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Become protective of the freedom Christ made possible and wait eagerly for God’s call each day.
